Nintendo software only?

Nintendo's in a tough spot right now. If the NX fails, could they go software only?

Do you think they would make more money?

I think the people that grew up with the games will always buy the console to play the Nintendo IP's. It just needs to release with Zelda and all the toy collecting, 40 year old nerds will buy it...for their "kids"

Why would they go software only, the handheld consoles are hugely successful.
