The Wii U is currently flopping. I don't think Nintendo has ever had a console do as poorly as it is right now. Will they drop out next gen?

the Gamecube and even the N64 did really poorly then they ame back with the Wii which was insanely popular
Nintendo also makes HUGE profits off their handhelds and the pokemon games etc
They will never go software only all the time they are turning the types of profits they have been doing because if they do, they have to cede some amount of control and a share of the profits from their first party games, mario, zelda etc. it'll never happen.
They need to drop the price of the wii-u thoLast edited by Earl-Hickey; 01-16-2014, 01:15 AM.

As long as children and families still exist, Nintendo will always be in the top 3. The Wii U is a nice console to get a child, and if you are a father maybe you want get it to play with your kids. Nintendo will always be that brand that parents go to for their kids, it's also the brand they remember most as a child themselves, and are familiar with some of the characters.

You're not supposed to buy a 6 year old child a PS4 and GTA5.
You buy them a Nintendo.. whatever handheld it is.. and a Pokemon game.
