I used to be a big gamer back in the day but I just completely lost interest.

I saw the trilogy pack at walmart on sale, so I thought what the hell.

The first one was ok, seemed like an average game.. but when I got to the second one, that's when the experience really kicked in. I hadn't felt the same(on a level of immersion, interest and fun) playing a video game since I played Final Fantasy 7. Mass effect 2 iss one of the greatest games of all time.

And the ride continued on into Mass effect 3, leading up to the most spectacular space battle I have ever seen.

Mass Effect is everything Halo was supposed to be and more.

How can you call the 2nd game irrelevant?! It was the MOST relevant!

imo 3 was a very good game btu the 1st was the best. the 2nd was irrelevant but still fun
They were all pretty much irrelevant to each other. You can play any of them without ever playing the other two and it won't make that huge a difference. They have the same characters, that's about it. That's the biggest non-ending problem with ME3 is that it didn't do anything to tie together the first 2 games, and was basically just its own game.

Mass Effect 2 is my favorite, easily. I love everything about it, everything.

Importing a character significantly made a difference, I'm telling you. I played ME 3 twice, one without an import, and the other with an import. I missed about 10 new characters and about 20 new conversation options on my first playthrough. On my second, I found out about cutscenes and stories I didnt even know existed!

nah you kinda do, if you dont you miss out on a lot, now a game like killzone or gears you can start those on any sequel because those are all about the gameplay
mass effect 3 wrapped things up imo, there were some plot holes at the end but you cant ask for a more conclusive finish
