sonys been working on the ps4 for months now and will introduce the ps4 by march 2014. the first ps3 was realeased in japan in nov 11, 2006 so i assume thell release the ps4 nov-dec. 2014

got both, and if im honest on paper the ps3 is technically better, but for some reason i prefer the 360. To me the ps3 is more of a multi media console to play single player games by myself on, where as the 360 is a more social gaming console with far superior multiplayer, a much prettier and more fun to use interface (lets face it the psn is bland). And although the ps3 has caught up in terms of exclusives, aside from uncharted the 360s exclusives are better.
My advice, get both and youll end up using each one for different things, there cheap as hell now anyway.

Also i would say forget blu ray as it will be dead soon but in all honesty it was never alive, digital downloads is the future.

I agree with this. What really annoys me about the PS3 is the slow loading and the add ons you have to download whenever you play a new game (some take 45 minutes). Not to mention the lag and d/c when you play online.

Out of both my PS3 and Xbox console i much prefer my Xbox. So much better for online gaming.

Those 'add ons' are actually updates to the game, released by the game developer which fix bugs, glitches and other problems or add new stuff to the game. You must have slow internet if it takes you 45 minutes to download and install all of the updates.

For Battlefield 2 i needed to download a 12000mb file to play the game.

Like i said my xbox has no problem with my internet speed yet my PS3 struggles.

There's no way you would have to download a 12gb file just to play a game on the PS3.

As I said before try adjusting your network settings on the PS3.
