Can any tech savvy folks help me out?

I'm stumped. Just installed an AMD Phenom II Black Edition Quad Core Processor @ 3.2GHz, ASUS AM3 AMD Motherboard and 8GB of G.SKILL 1333 DDR3 RAM into my computer.

I haven't replaced my card yet with is a Radeon HD 4550.

I've been playing All Points Bulletin, a fairly taxing MMOTPS, which is the reason I decided to upgrade my Processor, Motherboard and RAM. Now I pass every requirement for maximum settings for the game, but for some darn reason, my graphics are still running choppy.

Is the Radeon HD 4550 really not able to run these new games, or am I going to have to send this in and get it checked by a professional?

Dont know off the top of my head but when I'm stumped like that I usually just google it. See if there are any know issues with the motherboard, could be a dodgy bios. Could be compatibility issues between the motherboard and the graphics card.

Could even be your OS, what which copy of Windows have you got? If your running 8GB of RAM it better be a 64-bit version. Could be graphics drivers issues, is there a specific 64 bit driver for you graphics card?

Could be a millions things, google it. I bet you will find someone with the same problem on a forum somewhere.

It's the graphics card, cause aside from that your machine is pretty sweet.

I should try APB again, is it any better than i open beta?

agree but for gaming i would go for an Intel 2nd generation processor, Like me i have an Intel core i5 2500k sandy bridge processor, this processor blows all AMD processors away true story

Like rojas said play around with settings also make sure you have the most recent drivers for the card and the most recent bios for the mb as well. If that fails then could possibly be the card but like someone else mentioned it google it usually it will take you to the cards forum about other peepz experiencing the same issue. Also since you have 8gb of ram I'm assuming your running 64 bit so check if theres any 64bit drivers for the card.

It's a great game, they've patched a lot of the known issues. I'm on the East Coast Joker server as a criminal if you or anyone else wants to play.
