    My verdict on Socom 4.

    psn is down, don't care. I'm not a delirious maniac that's throwing a fit about it. Took the time to play through S4's single player campaign. On normal mode, boring and predictable. On elite mode, it's intense and a **** ton of fun. Custom campaigns feel very arcade-ish, which I dig. I assume Zipper is using this down time to fix the piece of junk they called the multiplayer beta, so that will likely be much better and more socom-ish. The rivers will run red from the pwn of my enemies.

      That's not the situation at all. I know many people who bought it, me included. I like the single player, and the multiplayer.

      All in all, I am very happy with the purchase.

      On A Side Note: You would fit right in at Socom.com...Please tell me you are not one of the so-called vets that can't get over the past Socom's...Cause if you are, you never really gave this game a chance in the first place. This is coming from a person that played every old Socom (1-3/Ca and SC) day one...

        I would call myself a vet, yes. I think the multiplayer beta was ****, especially the camera. Played it for a few minutes after the camera patch, and liked it A LOT better. I'm not blindly hating on it at all though.

        single player was fun though, on a higher difficulty than normal. Elite is intense, I'm on i think the 5th mission on elite. beat the game on normal too easily.

          Elite is the ****!!!

          Even though I played since Socom 1 day 1, I don't call myself a vet...I really don't think the term holds much weight. The reason I say "so-called" vets, cause if you speak to them, most of them never played past Socom 2...And most hate on Socom 3/Ca. ALL of the previos Socom's were great games (single player, and online). It really bothers me that people only ever mention Socom 2...Socom 1 was my personal favorite, followed by 2, and then 3/Ca.

          I do get why the PS3 version's bother people though...SC su*ked, but Socom 4, I think is a real good game. I like it alot. I hate that the network is down, but that has just given me time to beat all the other games I have.


          Also: I wasn't trying to sound like a di*k in my first post...I had just left the Socom.com forums, and that place just rubs me the wrong way sometimes.

            i say "vet" not trying to be excluding, just been playing that **** for almost a decade.

            I like S4, hopefully they tweak some online ****, I loved and played SC all the damn time, up until a week before S4 came out

              i post on socom.com everyday and yes i am one of those vets who thinks this game is fuuckin garbage. ive been socoming since S1 launch. im gonna be buying this game used.

                co fuuckin sign with S1 being the best. followed by 2 then CA and 3 was a meh. confrontation was ok for a month.
