How can you say RIP COD and then post a Battlefield trailer. They are both completely different types of FPS games.
COD, just about anyone can pick up and learn how to play and is more of a fast paced, run n' gun type FPS, but fit for any style of FPS player
Battlefield, at least Bad Company 2 is more strategic. The Maps are too big, the controls are clunky, there aren't enough customization options with weapons, sniper rifles are underpowered, 90% of players just end up camping or sniping. The only thing that BF has that COD doesn't, is better graphics, sounds and physics + Vehicles.
Mind you I'm just referring to MP, but that's really the only reason anyone buys these games.
