Does Prototype have a no cd crack that doesn't require an internet connection?

I wanted to play prototype on my pc when comcast service got messed up because of the wind today. I missed the williams/cintron fight because of it, but caught it later on!

Well, while my tv and internet service was down. I noticed that for some reason a game I already had installed. Prototype would not let me play because my internet connection didn't exist! WTF? What the **** kind of protection is that in a pc game? I'd understand if I was installing a game then it wouldn't let me for protection purposes. But to block me from playing a game because my internet service isn't working? Pc gaming is dying if this is the serious protection they feel like using!

I am using a no-cd crack! That ******ed game only works when my internet is working, but if my internet goes out it doesn't work! It has some of the dumbest protection ever on it. Nice!
