yeah, my slim is working great... just played some MW2 online to check it out...

havent even fired up the fattie though, never use it for anything other than movies or if the wife games now that i got the slim

No way Sony can fix this problem.

The only way is a total recall. They won't be able to produce enough software CD's for distribution fixes either, and people can't log in to the PSN network because of port settings.

It's pretty much over if you have a fat ps3........Just buy a slim one.

The rumour going around is that the problem will fix itself at 12am, some people have reported that removing the watch battery and replacing it on the PS3 motherboard also fixes the problem because it resets the clock.

I in fact know of nobody who has a working fat model Ps3 right now.

2 people I know have the same problem. Mine's fine, and another friend's is too. we have the older 80gig one, if that matters.
