Want to help me make a game machine?

Nevermind, I've a concept now. I'll make a post when I've done some concept art...uh...poorly, I'm not an artist.

Same thing as super old consoles like NES but with modern, um, everything. Hardware and software.

Not a clone of anything, this would be its own thing.

Linux is more simple but windows can do it as well.

The cartridge has the software, there isn't even an OS on the console itself. In the cart is everything you need software wise to boot and play along with scripts that automate everything. All you do is plug in cart and press power, like an NES.

With this sort of configuration you could port basically anything but current console exclusives.

I'll give a very basic example.

If you take an old PC or some such and tell the bios to boot from USB or some such external source and supply an external source with a bootable OS that's already directed to boot directly into a game, by passing or eliminating the desktop features of the OS all together, then when you power on your PC you'll see the bios screen then watch the new boot sequence and get straight into a game.

It'd be a bit like PS1/DC that sort of era with the multiple splash screens and such.

Like I said, that's a super basic example. I'd be using my own boot scripts and such nonsense so you won't actually see screens that say crap like ASUS or Windows. You'll be skipping at lot of that stuff and what can't be skipped will be turned into a console bios screen. Like the PS1 logo or the Sega Swirl on Dreamcast.

If you're clever about your hardware you could cover Android, Linux, and Windows games natively and emulate all the emulate-able consoles

It's not a Windows PC, It's not a Mac, or Android, or Linux, but it can play all of them because the OS itself in onboard.

Yup, illegal as ****, but I give no ****s. I already have a shop lined up to carry them. Google and Microsoft can sue me if by some mircle my ****ty console gets popular.

At the end of the day what I am doing is making the simplest process any emulation station has ever come up with and just going beyond emulation. Rather than setting up and installing games, you just power on your console, watch 2 or 3 short videos/bios/splashscreens like you would any cd based console and thing jango you're playing the game.

No configuring controllers, video settings, compatibility settings, nothing like that. Every cart is already automated to simply launch a game.

If you want to experience something like what I'm speaking about, pick a program, make it shell in Windows, and reboot. You could look up how to edit a windows boot sequence if you wanted to take it a spet farther and make it all look like something other than windows is booting up.

You can get linux and android booting and running in like 5 seconds or some such, windows is like 7, I didn't mess with mac yet.

It's for people who just want to plug in, turn on, and get to playing, with modern hardware and graphics.

Will it be able to also have emulated versions of old arcade games too?

I apologize, let me try in very short sentences. That's not a knock on you, it's me recognizing I'm a babble prone prick.

Mine is a hardware driven pirate box and there's is a software driven emulation box with a fancy name.

It'd take more work and money than it's worth to make their **** like my ****.

I once made a slot machine.
In my first experiments, we made an arcade nightstand on a Chinese jamma board, which failed after six months. But in that time we managed to take the nightstand to Starkon, Geek Picnic, and a couple of smaller events. Everywhere there was a queue for our Ikea arcade nightstand. Since the game is designed for PCs, a budget computer with power and reset buttons was installed inside the machine. We found a lot of it on youtube. From there we took interesting ideas. We also looked for similar. That is how we made our slot machine.

Well, they banned me bud and are probably going to ban this account too so I probably can't get a tutorial written for you.

It's not hard actually, there's just no one writing the how-tos.

There is a place found in a lot of states called Code Ninja, where they teach adults and kids how to make games
