Why is it so ridiuclously hard to put someone down when hurt in FNR4?

I have put Hatton down numerous times from one punch knockdowns, but I am having a lot of trouble putting him down when I hurt him, because all they do is cover up making me unable to hit them, while clinching

I took your advice, and I have been scoring very easy KD`s and Ko`s. The problem now is the KD`s look cartoonish an fake.
