I tried for the hell of it today it worked but will only play specific video types so kinda sucks to convert them but still its pretty cool. Can also play mp3s if you want without having to rip them from the original cd.

Yeah I bought the HD DVD player for it. It only cost me 50 bucks. And I dont care what anybody says....
HD DVD is better than Blu Ray. -

Yeah since its a Microsoft product it only plays WMV videos...
You can actually network it to your computer instead of having an external harddrive...
it will stream the video files right off your computer...
I did this when my idiot friend DVR'd the Jones Tito fight while I was at the actual fight... I wanted to come home and watch it on TV, he recorded the countdown and not the fight..
So i found the download.. downloaded the fight.. converted it to WMV... put it in my videos folder.. pulled it in with my 360.. and watched it on my tv in the living room anywaysComment

Actually they play real good. I played I am Legend on Blu Ray at my friends house and on HD DVD on my tv and HD DVD is WAY better.Originally posted by -Hyperion- View Post
The reason why Blu Ray won is because to watch and HD DVD you have to go and buy the movie when with Blu Ray you can go and rent it from BlockBuster.
