I usually use gamespot for links to walkthroughs but they don't seem to have anything. I've played this game quite a bit and completed it on hard mode with an undefeated record, so I'll try and help you out.
Here are some tips:
1. Jab to the body rather than the head. It gets blocked less often and does a better job of keeping them off of you (jabs to the head pretty much get ignored/walked through). The only drawback is that it's slightly slower and sometimes you get caught with uppercuts, but I find that the positives outweigh the negatives.
2. Try using the straight rather than the jab. I find that you can still hit the opponent with it quite regularly, and it takes more of their health than a jab does. This isn't suited to all fighting styles; your opponent might be too fast for it to work.
3. A good way to attack is to throw the step forward right hook. The computer might block it, but it gets you up close without having to walk through their punches. Once up close throw a few hooks to the body, then one or two to the head. Then block to the body and lean back and to the side, which will make it very hard for them to hit you. Your stamina should recover not long after this, at which point you can start throwing power punches again.
4. If you are losing the fight, it's a good idea to save up your signature punches until you have 3, then throw all 3 within a round. If you connect with all 3 of them within a round it will almost always result in you knocking them down, and sometimes winning by KO. It can be difficult to time this correctly though.
5. If you're creating a fighter, don't bother giving him any agility points. I've seen a few discussions on other forums and the general opinion seems to be that it has no noticeable effect upon anything at all.Last edited by Clegg; 07-08-2008, 07:37 PM.

I actually don't mind it. I like the body punching in the game a lot. I do feel like the punches are more realistic as far as the damage caused by a specific punch like a straight right or body shot. I still think FN4 will be better but at least it's something new to keep me occupied until FN4 comes out.
