Possibly the best platformer I've ever played. The 360 and PS3 pale in comparison with the Wii. Metroid, Zelda, Mario all better than anything I've played on the other consoles.

I have Metroid Prime 3 and it's sublime - easily a top 5 FPS of all time.

yeah prime 3 is very very good. This is better though - pure poetry. The graphics on the wii are very average but they don't half know how to make games, those nintendomen.

I'll take gameplay over graphics any day of the week.

A lot of the games being churned out for the PS3 and Xbox are all style and no substance.

Metroid gets bonus points for outstanding use of the Wii controls. I have to admit that I can't play Halo etc because I can't use the analogue sticks. The Metroid prime system rivals a pc mouse and keyboard combo.

Mario has a very good control system as well but as usual it is level design/imagination that is its strong suit. I played one level today that had me challenged and i got the same buzz I had on the special levels of SMW and on world 8(7?) of SMB3

I downloaded Super Mario World for the virtual console and was hooked instantly, just as i was when i was 10 years old.

Nintendo focuses on gameplay and game like Galaxy shows how inovative nintendo really is. Like I have been saying, the wii is the only true Next gen system with good not great graphics, but the game play make up for that.

I’ve just finished the game with 60 Stars and the game just blew me away, top 3 game time of all time? Easy. Best Game Ever? I’m leaning on yes.

My favourite useage of the Wii-mote easily. Nobody, not even the most Hardcore Metroid player would be able to defeat Gandrayda with a traditional controller, she was way to fast to shoot at.

I'm only on 50 stars thus far - damn job and gfriend getting in the way. Nintendo truly do p*ss all over the competition regarding game design. I'm actually a bit retrospectively disappointed not have bought a game cube.

There's a countdown of the greatest 100 games on IGN at the moment, check it out - Super Mario Bros. for #1? Or Ocarina of time? Nintendo will surely dominate the top 10.
