    question

im gonna try and start a thread without being made fun of. my fighter told me that in a superheavyweight fight that it was different from any other fight class. he also told me that to win in superheavys your jab has to be your bread and butter. is this true?

If you can perfect the jab, your golden. Your chance of winning a fight doubles, imo.

You want to see a fighter exacute a jab, continualy then pick up some Virgil Hill fights, he's known for using a great jab.

If your trainer says you're ready to fight, then take his advice and don't doubt yourself.

You are a tall guy. And big, Your jab shoud be your number one weapon. If you fight tall, per se. You can use your height to an advantage. and keep the other guy at the right distance to drop the right hand. You don't want to get into too many inside exchanges, this would benifit a smaller and faster guy. Watch some Lenox Lewis fights I like how he uses his one two, to his advantage. Good form Great power.

Lots of big guys have really heavy punches. Feels like a pile of bricks falling on you. That is the main difference between super heavies and the lighter weights. Naturally a good jab, movement, etc., will help, but, if you can't take that heavy punch, you're in a world of trouble....
