Well I have only started boxing today, and I also suffer from asthma. However I did go training in local gyms such as cardio and weights before, but of course knowing my limits. I've been a asthma sufferer since I was born, so I don't really see any problem carry on training, but don't over do it, such as carrying on intense training, when your asthma has started to kick in. Just my 2 pence.

Nice first post Newbie. I used to have asthma, which the doctor says I have now outgrown, I just took it easy if my chest fel tight or I was having difficulty breathing. This doesn't mean that I stopped exercising/training, just that I slowed down the pace. As Newbie said, don't do any high intensity work and listen to your body.
