    A question about night eating...

Ok, so I'm trying to eat every few hours, low carbs, low cal...got about 10 lbs to drop to 154 still. I awoke at 3:30am today out of nowhere....went back to bed after 15 minutes but I grabbed one of those slim fast muffin bars in between.

Now your body goes into a catatonic state during sleep...was that bad to do or good? cause...I mean, it feeds my body a little bit (only 140 cals) after 5 hrs of sleep...but does going back to sleep slip me back into fat storage mode? Or does that kick the metab in gear a bit to digest?

If you wake up in the middle of the night, the best thing to have is fruit. Melon being the best. You didn't do any harm since you ate something light, but fruit is the best choice.

In general, try not to eat before going to bed because your bodys metabolism slows down while you are asleep.

But you recover when you sleep and you need nutrients.

It comes down to calories in vs. calories out. Eating at night won't make a big difference.

why would you do a low carb diet???

thats where you get your energy from carbs

if you put in alot of work at the gym you should be able to dropp the excess weight fast
