    Pre & Post Workout Nutrition

    Hello everybody!

So I made my workout routine & diet, now imma try and keep up with it, 2 workouts a day ain't easy, but nothing's easy

So, I first got a morning workout that's based on boxing(roadwork, punch speed and endurance, power and footwork, etc) and usually i have enough energy since my workout is only 3 hours after my breakfast and I have a pre-workout meal 1h before as well(some bread, PB and a banana, something to digest easily)

And in the evening, i got my strenght or muscle mass training, where I have a big meal consisting in rice and chicken before, and just a yogurt and some fruit afterwards.

Should I swap the two meals, so that I take the protein and carbs after my workout, or is it better to do it before? do I need protein before AND after the workout, or is once enough?

If you’re getting the right amount of macros to build the physique you want, then the timing of everything is really up to you. Everyone is different. Some people like to train on an empty stomach, some people the opposite. You can play around with it and see what makes your workout the most comfortable. Protein just before or just after your weights wouldn’t make much difference to results as long as you are getting enough. You really just want to feel comfortable, not bloated, or sluggish, but neither drained or fatigued when you’re ready to train. You’re just going to have to play around with it for what works best for yourself. If your weight isn’t where it needs to be or your energy is low, then you will have to adjust your intake accordingly.

Timing for fuel of your workouts is kinda a moot point you either have the energy or you dont i.e. CARBS as long as you ate carbs in the day you should have fuel to perform. but if you really concerned with that Just eat some fast acting carbs before/during your workout and you will have energy... people like to eat skittles and lil candies like that, so do that if you like. Now timing to optimize your goals is very much a thing, you want to eat about every 3 hours of at least 20g protein to optimize muscle protein synthesis which are basically the building blocks of building muscle.
