Joe Louis fighting stance in modern boxing

    Greetings.

Would a fighter using Joe Louis’ fighting stance be successful in today’s era of boxing. I’ve noticed his small shuffles and what I call a 45-degree angled stance which is away from the center line. Every now and then if I were to watch a Bernard Hopkins fight it seems as if he’s slightly doing Louis’ stance.

Hopkins yes, but very few fighters do that. Most try to replicate Mayweather these days.
