Hey guys this is my first post and I’m hoping to get some advice from some seasoned boxers. I’ve been boxing since January of this year and I feel like I’m making some progress but there are things I’m still trying to learn. Today I was hitting mitts with my coach Practicing 1-2 combos and he hit me with a right hook. He told me two do two burpees for getting hit but didn’t tell me how to dodge or block to prevent myself from getting hit next time. I forgot to ask him about after training and was wondering if I can get some tips to practice and prevent it from happening again. I’m a Southpaw BTW

He probably saw you were dropping your hands and wide open to be hit. Remember the number one rule "protect yourself at all times". This is especially important when at a distance where you can be hit (in range). You should ask your coach to explain if you're unsure. I
