    Fiber, are you getting enough?

    Men under 50 should be consuming a minimum of 25g per day. Over 50 should have 35+ per day.

    #1 killer in American men is Heart disease and Fiber is heart healthy.

    I started taking Metamucil this week. After 3 days of feeling like a bloated blimp, i began spending a lot of time on the toilet. Its day 8 now and ive doubled my fiber intake, still on the toilet a lot but my legs feel lighter and i feel less sluggish.

    Anyways just thought id share because I eat oranges and raisins daily but I was no where near what I shouldve been intaking.

    Just ditch the white flour and white rice add veggies, beans and greens. Make better dietary choices and the Metamucil is totally unnecessary, imo.

    Not to mention the nutritional benefits from better choices.

        When did you start this? I am beginning to swear by this stuff. People that plateau on diets should really review their fiber intake.

          When I went days without taking a dump at times. Now I take two a day sometimes, but at least one a day. Started two years ago at least.

              Fiber slows the absorption of sugar so your insulin doesn't spike. Its good stuff for sure.

                Didnt know that much, thanks! I am at 6 scoops of fiber a day and back to drinking a gallonof water a day. My legs feel real light the last 2 weeks.

                  another thing-if you overdo the fiber-your body will not let you forget it. Bloating, cramps, diarrhea are not fun.

                    Bloating for sure. Happens when I take too much metamucil
