When I skip as I hit the ground I have some pain in my lower neck/upper back, that protruding bone that lies along the traps seems to be the place the pain is occurring, the one located directly in the middle of the shoulder spread. Have any of you experienced this?

Important thing for technique - Are you looking down while you skip? If your chin is near your chest, your stretching out your neck and trap muscles. This puts a lot of strain on your traps and rear delts since your bouncing. I've had pain as a result of this before. Also, your hands might be too close to your body, forcing your trap muscles to flex, that can cause tension. Try adjusting these things and see if the pain subsides.

That's weird. The only pain that I get sometimes is my ankles hurt. And I don't think looking down is why because I was told to keep my chin down while skipping rope.
I say go see a doctor.

actually yes I droop my head down towards the ground, my shoes are decent and provoid amazing support and comfort. and also my hands are close to my body those are probably the reasons for the pain. I will correct my form. Wow you need a correct form for skipping, like everything else in this sport basically.

Not skipping is like against my religion bro. I love skipping. It's my favorite cardio workout next to roadwork.
