I'm 17 years old and have been boxing for 4 years.
However, about a year and a half ago I got knocked down by a not-seen punch and got really dizzy and unbalanced. After the incident I stopped sparring for a little, later found out I had problems when moving my neck rapidly - I'd get dizzy.
I went to a psychiatrist (for a few months, strengthened my neck) and got massages (10 times)
The problem went away, but after that incident I've been much more vulnerable - my knees easily buckle, getting dizzy from punches. It ended up making me quit boxing a few months ago due to the fact that I was so scared about getting brain damage.
Now I'm kinda stitching everything together... also my neck is in BIG discomfort all the time. I constantly have a big urge to move it around and when I move it to the left side in a particular way it's like a crack (only I can hear it, not the people around me) and I can make it crack whenever and how many times I want. A few times I've gotten crazy pain when cracking it and couldn't move the neck to that side, it was painful as hell.
I thought maybe this would be the reason I've also been getting so dizzy.
Any suggestions regarding which doctor to visit or anything related to that? It'd really help since I'm considering getting back into boxing, however, this neck issue isn't helping at all.
