    Are you Southpaw or Unorthodox

Are you orthodox or a southpaw?

I’m right handed but prefer to be a southpaw. Simply because it provides a stronger jab and more accurate punches since I’m right handed.

But also because since I have my weaker hand back, it also allows me to generate more power using technique.

This is why Bruce lee preferred to have his dominant hand forward. (Been reading a lot of his philosophy) haha.

Now I can box orthodox as well and can switch. Sometimes I like going unorthodox and other times I like southpaw.

What do you prefer orthodox or southpaw? And why?

Obviously this depends on what the fighter is comfortable with and what works for him. Manny Pacquiao is a notable southpaw fighter and legend I can name off the top of my head.

I'm more comfortable orthodox, but I'm trying to work on proper technique n getting more comfortable as a southpaw, as I think it gives me an advantage.

Orthodox, but Ive been trying more stuff as a southpaw to help myself fight better if my best hand gets hurt.

Same here. Although I did start off as a southpaw. I've been working on the conventional stance for awhile now and feel comfortable but I feel as though I'm better inside the ring in the southpaw stance.

I switch. Spent years in southpay before getting proper training so I ended up with a right that won't fatigue, but I'm more precise and footwork is better in orthodox. I notice that a lot of people who force southpaw have ugly footwork in southpaw and I don't want to be one of those so I try to work orthodox mostly.

Left handed, box southpaw. Tried orthodox a few times but never got into it.

left handed orthodox. I dabble in southpaw sometimes while shadow boxing. Feels weird
