how effective are those ring the bell games

How effective are those punch things at the fair etc

Not very effective. I was at Six Flags once and this huge guy comes up. Like 6'5'' 270 lbs. and ripped. He took it and the bell didn't ring. The skinny guy comes up, probably 140 lbs. and it hits the bell fast.
