Any thoughts? If you have one at home, share your experience. She wants to lose some weight after pregnancy, maybe you have some reliable models with incline and other features. I have $800 to choose from. I read some reviews but they all like like paid ones, so thought it would be a better idea to ask someone

If your wife insists on a treadmill, get a decent one, in the UK it costs about ?50 for a good Reebok one. Then when running put it on a slight incline and vary the speed.
But, try the outdoors. Far superior to a treadmill.

First, I'm sorry about the misogynistic tone in some of these comments. They're uncalled for and certainly not helpful to anything.
I don't know if this is too far afield, but I prefer a stationary bike over a treadmill (I agree with abracadabra - I like running outdoors when possible). For indoors, I've really enjoyed using the Rogue Echo bike. It's not really meant for beginners, but if your wife already has a background in fitness, it is good for a challenge and designed for shorter, intense workouts.

To the original thread starter, if your wife is open to a stationary bike, maybe she'd want to start with a recumbent style for more comfort.
