42 year old George Foreman and 42 year old Yoel Romero

Crazy how far modern training and nutrition have come especially the impact it has on older athletes.

It used to be by 40 an athletes career was over (which is why people thought Foreman's comeback was a joke at first), now it's not uncommon for top guys to last past that age.

Both of them in their 20s

You can, of course, find random examples to prove the opposite. Even young guys now that are fatter than old guys of yesteryear (look at all the slob heavyweights of the last 10 years). Picking two guys doesn't really prove much.

That said, I think the modern method of having a team member dedicated to nutrition, one to conditioning, etc, really helps.

Could at least choose two natural athletes of similar stature that compete in the same sport.

I'd be very worried if an olympic wrestler that uses PEDs didn't look more jacked than a semi retired boxer known for loving his food.

Like shoulderoll said, hes on the gear. Alot of boxers take roids but even more mma fighters do. Yoan pablo hernandez is romeros brother and hes not nearly as buff. I know different training techniques can make a difference but romero is too big of a freak and too old to be natural. Especially considering hes tested positive before

Old George is still slimmer than Ruiz, by quite a bit.

But on a similar note, the fighters who are successful in the 35-43 age range has gone up DRASTICALLY in the last 20 or so years. Its the biggest indicator to me that they have better PEDs and the conditioning coaches know how to use, dose and cycle them. This isnt 1992 Holyfield just haphazardly popping some dianabol. We've seen how Balco did it, they have guys dedicated to completely mapping out on a calendar what doses on what days they need to take.
