Stragety against southpaw lead hand

OR try this excellent tactic: you can occupy their lead hand with your own lead hand while stepping outside of their lead foot, than change the rhythm by explosively feinting with your left shoulder and simultaniously stepping to the right and the moment the ball of your right foot touches the canvas you explode with the right hand. This way you are getting the southpaw used to you battling with him to get your lead foot outside of his, than explode with the right shoulder feint and make a quick step to your right while the southpaw is still followining you to your left, so when you do the feint your lead foot stops battling with his for the outside position and finds itself right in between the southpaw's feet instead. Do you get what I'm telling you?
EDIT: By the way the feint and everything has to be done from the outside (as almost every feint btw). Anyways you are battling for the outside position with the southpaw, doing it at a steady pace, so when he's still turning with you to your left, you explode with the shoulder feint and quickly step to the right while he's still stepping to your left.Last edited by Offic.Scorecard; 09-01-2019, 11:30 PM.

I'm not trying to be a dick but abracadabra is not helping the thread starter at all and is taking the gifs he posted out of context because these situations have nothing to do with OP's question, while the real answer is the opposite and he should be showing what Pacquiao was doing to Floyd in that fight, because Pac was doing E.X.A.C.T.L.Y. what the OP should do. I already did a breakdown video on Pac vs Floyd and in the gifs abracadabra is showing, what Floyd was doing is he was countering in between Pacquiao's 1-1-2's, because Pacquiao is very often oppened for the counter in between his double jab and the straight left. But Floyd had to get the timing of that particular Pacquiao's combo first. Not the same situation at all. ALSO, in the other examples from that gif, Pac is jumping to the pocket with his jab from the outside, the complete opposite of what the OP is saying. The OP is describing a more stationary southpaw, sticking his lead hand out and looking to prevent him with his lead hand from stepping in the pocket (from the top of my head, IDK if this is the best example - think about the southpaw version of Wlad Klitschko). So with that being said, without trying to be arrogant, the 2 solutions I gave him in my 2 previous posts above are EXACTLY ment for the situation the OP is describing, instead of those Mayweather gifs because they are just so way out of context!Last edited by Offic.Scorecard; 09-01-2019, 11:54 PM.
