Why would you ever want to set your gloves out to bake in the sun? ……..Rockin'

Can you actually "wash" your gloves once in awhile, like submerge it in water with soap?
The glove sanitizer is safe. I use between 3 and 5 sprays. Kills bacteria. Doesn't really leave anything behind. Doesn't hurt your hands or the glove.

Don't use clorox or any other chemical. That WILL hurt your hands as well as the glove.

Never wash your gloves. You might as well throw them away because the materials inside will not dry before bacteria sets in and they will sink.

Interesting topic! I have never cleaned the inside of bag gloves. My bag work is done in the garage. I workout, take the gloves off, and that's that. Maybe that i'm older my sense of smell is not that good, lol!

Lol, it's ok, I don't think a lot of people think about it because it is some what of a hassle. I see a lot of gloves around our gym just thrown on the side to dry out, which in the end, is the most important part of upkeep (or so I'm gathering).

Rub them down every few months with vaseline. That will keep the fake leather good. Leaving them out to just bake in the sun is about the last thing that you'd want to do …….Rockin'

When I was fighting, I would set my gloves on the heating register leaning/standing up against the wall. So that the insides were dry …….Rockin'

Yes, I need a good place to keep my gloves to dry out... I know Redd said he has a homemade rack, maybe there's one I can buy because I'm definitely not crafty lol.

My hands and especially my wraps are soaking wet after a workout. After I/m finished, I will wipe off inside especially the cuffs and then I push a rolled pair of old socks into each glove to help the dry out and then the gloves are stored in a open bin i.e. lots of air circulation over them. No smell at all but the rest of my kit sopping wet and that smells. Had the advice of soaking in vinegar if the sweaty smell doesn't wash out. Wife complains about the smell before she washes so now I rins during my shower, hanit outside and next day it gets washed and everybody happy.
Every 6-8 weeks I will put on Dubbin (leather care wax here in South Africa) on the leather and never had a problem after years of training.
