    This is what I do too. Dynamic stretches before a workout and some static stretching during recovery if things are tight. I think sometimes static stretches can be taken too far and over stretch the muscle, possible causing damage and increasing recovery time

      Stretching and warm ups

        I do hot yoga once a week to make sure my muscles and body are properly stretched. Maybe I'm just more high-wired than most but between cardio and training, my muscles strain and tighten. Plus, added factor, it helps with toning. However, before training sessions, I only stretch for about 1-2 mins, go around the ring for a few mins to get the blood flowing.
