    How do modern boxers transfer weight?

    So weight in the stance starts 60 - 40 but are they transferring it 90-100 each time they throw a power punch?

    It seems like they don't fully transfer weight like you are taught as a beginner.

    Its all low rotation, very low range of motion on the hips (no shoulders changing stance) and it seems like little weight transfer.

    Every fighter is different and needs more of their body behind their power.

      I mean Id expect them to make it more subtle but often there is no weight transfer at all, is that just fight condition technique ie it goes out the window when you are in a real fight?

        I can punch that fast with full or near full hip rotation which is a much longer distance, when im doing my combos

          Even on the bag with no worries about getting hit I don't see any transfer of weight

                  Remember that, in fights, the opponent is not always in the ideal position. So, weight transfer in awkward situations, like in those gifs, is not always full. You train for proper form thought because full weight transfer does stuff like this;

                  And this, where FULL weight transfer is made and his rear foot actually leaves the ground;

                    neither of those are proper full weight transfer and they dont do it on the bag or mits either, unless im missing something

                    If you transfer weight its obvious the hip transfers teh weight from foot to foot and it looks different to what they are doing, theres a noticeable shift from one foot to the other, I dont see that here I will show u a vid of what i mean

                    here it is done properly, maybe the pros are different, but still i dont see weight transfer, why?

                    Its subtle but also its obvious if they have shifted weight you can SEE it , again a small movement but we are good at spotting those

                    Canelo leans his weight forward he doesn't transfer it properly, I cant see Frotches legs hips or feet and hes front on lol
