Which arm muscles do you use in a punch?

Is it triceps or biceps or both (dominantly)

Like when you just stand still without using your hips and rely on your brute strength, which one powers your punch

Bicep with hooks and uppers if youre winding up no hips, etc. Straights has a little more tricep in it...I guess?

Hit a heavy bag with s hit form and you’ll feel it in the biceps and lats.

Weird question. Kind of hard to picture it without doing it

You use your whole core if you punch properly. Deltoids are used in every punch and matter big with the jab especially when fired from the hip. Deltoids are big if youre gonna throw arm punches and not pit your body into it. Straight punches use pecs and triceps to deliver most power. Uppercuts use biceps and core mostly. Watch tyson throw an uppercut and you see he moves his body more than his arm. Hooks use deltoids and biceps slightly but also your side pectoral similar to a fly exercise. But as you know it all starts in the feet and you use your whole body to punch

No biceps, they are used to pull / retract

              All of them.

The triceps generally are stressed more in boxing than are the biceps, brachialis, and muscles of the forearm and hand, but all are important and all should be trained for maximum performance and injury prevention.

                Chaps I strongly disagree.

Biceps are used to pull not push.

There is hardly any tension or use when punching apart from a faster recoil!!
