How often do you train weekly?

What level are you at? How long have you been in the sport? Do you train depending only on fights or ongoing? Do you train more than once a day? What is the average length of a session?

Interested in everyone's dedication right now.

I do some type of exercise 6 days a week...anywhere from 45mins to 1.5hrs. Almost never twice a day, but sometimes. One thing I like is mini-cycles, where I go hard for a couple days (in a row) and then easy for one day. On the easy day, maybe just some steady state aerobic, like running and a bit of shadow boxing. I think this kind of gives your body time to recover and can be beneficial to making incremental progress in your training. Not training for any fights for any fights, but sparring a couple times a month. If the sparring isn't too intense then I'll follow up with a workout after.

Sounds sensible. Do you train strength in the gym? I've noticed people skip the gym.

Push ups and pull ups only. Body weight exercises 3 times per week. I think weights can be good for boxing but I just don't have the time in my schedule for this.

Yeah, what we mainly need in boxing is explosiveness.

Amateur boxer 2 bouts in (1-1), 3rd bout is coming up in about a week. Also have 2 exhibitions (2-0).

I train minimum 5 days a week, most of the time I do 6 or 7. If I don't have a rest day then I do some active rest in the form of recovery run, mobility work, etc.

I workout twice most days sometime I throw in another workout (something light like elliptical or bike or walking), and run almost everyday. I box 3 times a week, generally lift about twice a week, and run 6-7 times a week as well as plyometrics with the medicine ball, ab and neck work thrown in.

2 to 3 times a week on the heavy bag. Not much but I'm not really a boxer, just interested in some boxing/boxers.

I imagine most adults on the forum have jobs.

I work 40-60 hrs a week, cook every meal that I eat, have 2 cats and a gf that live with me that I also feed (one of my cats has to take medicine 3 times a day in order to stay alive), and I'm up before 6am and in bed by 8pm on nights other than Tuesday and Thur (when I train/spar late).

You make time for whats important. Everyday after my first cup of coffee I go run. Right after work I go hit the regular gym, and then the boxing gym later at night on Tue/Thur. Saturdays (the days I could sleep in) I wake up at 7am to rehydrate or eat before I have a 3 hour session at the boxing gym. Sometimes I feel like I'm working 3 jobs, but theres definitely enough time to fit everything in if you get rid of distractions and are motivated enough.
