    Relative newbie questions

Given how hard we get pushed in the gym it makes me think fitness should overcome all. However, technique and ability is the excuse for the ones who cruise.

I’ve sparred a number of times now and it’s obvious that if you are fitter you could/should win but anyone can be fit.

Therefore, is it better to concentrate on improving skills and being brave or just be able to do more than the other guy in the time you got?

Do both. Why can't you learn skill while getting in to shape. Sure skill is important but it will do nothing for you if you aren't in shape enough to display your true skills. Both require that you work hard… Just do your thing, do it properly and then let the chips fall where they may… I had my ass handed to me many times just starting out. Just be sure to show up the next day to do it all again. If you are true to it than you will be fine..Rockin'

So if you accept you aren’t a genius but can be fit are you going to excel? Fitness without technique you can win, technique without fitness can’t win...?

no, you can still out box guys, but being dead tired in the last round can just make it a bit tougher to pull out a W...….Rockin'

Yes both. Technique to get better and exercise to enable the ability to better execute the technique. The boxing type exercises encompass both at the same time

Either can win this fight. Depends on whose all together the better boxer. There can be varying degrees of both.
