      i woudlnt start till i was 18 because if you lift wrong you can **** your body up real bad

        yeah i got told tht if you do it before your body is fully grown it can **** up your growth

              i read an articel at treningsforum.no some time ago(but since its in norwegian it wont help you much).

              the myth was started cause off the effect on the bones.

              and weightlifting wasnt any less safe for the growth off bones than for example soccer.

              hurting your back on the other hand is possibele, so be careful and get someone to learn you the correct technic.

                you have to be carefull with wieghtliftin at an early age!

                becase if not done properly it can harm u in al sorts of ways!

                so my personal opinion is to leave it out!

                when young u shud concentrate on own body weight exercises, i.e press ups, sit ups, chin ups! and if u seriously wana do weights, start off extremely light and master the technique or stick to machines and leave out free weights al together!

                  well im just saying what i was told from a canadian Pe teacher when i was still at school a few years ago.
