I normally don't eat anything before morning runs, I have dinner a bit late the night before and I only drink juice or water before the run, being light helps me run much better. I however never run more than 50 minutes, I always try to run a fixed distance, let's say 12 Km in the shortest time possible and the run MUST have hills, running slow for long distances does nothing for you as a fighter and there's no afterburn effect.
If you're planning on running for 2 hours however then you'll need to have some carbs in your system.
I start running 5 a.m, should i eat something before or after running what type of food do you recommend?.
Thanks.
If I were to go for a run immediately after, or very shortly after waking up, I would not eat anything; I would simply drink a small glass of water and take two caffeine tablets or two OR drink a small amount of coffee and take one.
Obviously, caffeine is a drug people respond to differently, I thrive on it, some do not.
If you're trying to cut weight, no. If you are gaining or maintaining, I'd go with some easily digestible carbs so that you don't upset your stomach. Digestion gets interrupted during exercise so you want nutrients to be in your blood by then, not your gut.
Idk mate just drink some soda or juice and eat some chocolate or cake. It's ok unless you go full.
Afterall it's just running, you puke out at the worst scenario
