Hey guys, I recently started working out again and decided to use boxing to lose pounds. I boxed as a teen but stopped and eventually joined the military and never got back into it. I am looking for any advice/criticism that will help me improve my boxing. The end goal is to begin competing sometime next September.

As Rockin' stated your not turning turning your shots over (pronating) (palms down upon impact)
Also you are dropping your head to the right when you let your left hand go.
1. your giving away what your getting ready to throw.
2. Your arm punching. Your ok if your slipping a jab that way and countering with an over hand left but throwing your base
1/2 that way is poor technique.
To correct this get close to the bag.
Turn your left shoulder into the bag and touch it.
This is extreme but my point is to add your shoulder with your hip in with your arm.
Stop bouncing away from the bag, for a better finish add your right hook to the body. That will get your left shoulder coming with your "straight" left hand then twist your waist back as the right hook is added.
You might have your feet to wide to allow your left hand to land flush also.
Do some waist twists when loosing up and realize that the motion is part of your punch techniques.
Hope you understand my points today's a little shaky.
