I think at the jump in level there probably isn't much difference between the two. I think if you were to get with a major promoter then it'll matter more although even then its probably marginal the difference & a lot of it depends what you offer as well & how much fans appreciate you or don't appreciate you.

For absolute max earning ability I think for sure the US is a better option just cuz there are a ton of guys getting 6 digits in the U & there are dozens who are making $1M+ per fight in the US & I don't believe that is happening per capita as often in the UK, but I haven't exactly done stats on that so I could be mistaken. Even still the top boxers seem to max out their value in the US more than anywhere else on the planet.

And specifically while you bring up Joshua I think the potential for him to reach his biggest paydays will likely lie in coming to the US & becoming more popular here like it did for Lennox Lewis.

You never want to get into boxing for the money. Ever. If you can do it without losing money, consider that a wild success.

Yo man what do you mean by this? I know that it'd be tremendous luck to actually get fights to happen and get TV exposure. But i don't get the "You never want to get into boxing for the money. Ever.".

            Peace man!

Entertainment jobs are for fantasists. You're most likely to end up working a crap job for the rest of your life because you focused on sports instead of school or a real trade.

I say this as someone who works in an equally volatile field, the music biz. I'm damn lucky to be able to do this for a living, and it's not even the job I was after, I sort of fell ass-backwards into a niche. I always advise people to get a real job because your chance for success increases by about 99%.
