How many days before a fight do u think is acceptable to go to the country you're boxing in? I.e England to New York... 5 days?

They do it but these guys have a team of people looking after them, and sometimes still struggle. However, if you have done it before and you know your body will be OK then why not. Better to be on the safe side if you're not sure. That said, flying West is easier ("East is a beast!"). I'm going off one guy I know in particular who swears by the 10-day rule for long haul flights, he does Muay Thai.
