    You careful to trim off fat from meat not eat it? Sugars worse!

    Evidence is mounting to suggest that sugar is worse fro your health and heart etc than saturated fat.

    I bet you are careful not to eat too much saturated fat.

    But I bet you dont take the same care to not eat too much sugar.

    That is IRRATIONAL! According to the evidence gathered thus far.

    Im not saying go Atkins thats dumb, but im saying you should ration sugar like you do grizzly animal fat in your diet!

    = possibly harmless

    They are two different things. You need some carbohydrates, some fats. One doesn't sub the other, nor should they be compared.

      In the 90' I read the Atkins, primo kin, kept my glycine index of foods with me, I weighed my food, etc. I had plenty of time to train. I versed my caloric intake so my brain wouldn't flip out and tell my body we are in famine mode, burn less. I varied my intake and I got great results.

      I was really into it. I've slacked off for about 6 years. But I have returned to training again. I'm gonna take it slow, until my ligaments and tendons get stronger then, eye of the tiger

          Not at all, but I want to get back into heavy weight lifting again.

          Right now I go a local park regularly and do pull-ups about 15 per set, push-ups inclined & declined, and dips. I got monkey strength, but I miss moving heavy weight. You'll never understand.

            I cycle never mind. I got a keyboard too. I never drink soda, never. It is poison. I get my sugars form veggies and certain high nutrient fruits, but only in season veggies and fruit.

            Your showing your ignorance again. Never mind.

                  Both promote heart disease and diabetes equally.
                  So no, one is not better or worse than the other.
                  And I think the public knows that sugar is unhealthy, in fact, I think bad fats are the underrated ones.

                  Oh and I am talking about REFINED white sugar not fruits, starches and veggies.

                    Depends on the sugar. Sugars are monomers of carbohydrates which can be turned into protein or fat. Fat for long term energy storage and protein for things like muscle building.

                    The rule of thumb is if it is artificial (processed) then it is most likely bad for you. If it is natural like fruit then it is ok. Nobody ever got fat from eating apples lol.
