    Boxing glove padding

    Hi

I am looking at buying some gloves and have been told that they have the padding in the picture below, just copy and paste into your browser. Does anyone have any opinions on this padding set up? Your input would be appreciated

Image not showing up. The padding is irrelevant, it's how the maker uses it. Some of thebest and worst gloves are made with similar padding, but layered and cut in different ways.

image is not showing well, now it's not the same as boxing gloves padding , so if you really buying some boxing gloves then choose the best gloves and also check out the shap and padding. also go for best shop like title , rdx sports and sportdirect etc.

If you're just getting into boxing, then I would say get some Title bag gloves. They have some pretty ok ones with decent padding that aren't too expensive. Rival also has some nice ones too. DON'T get the cheap Everlast ones at Big 5 or ****'s Sporting Goods. They fall apart after a few months and the cushioning inside them moves around which you really don't want to happen. Links below are good starting gloves; Nothing too crazy.

If you're into competing then you're gonna need something a little more serious. This is where stuff starts to get pricey, so be prepared.

Winning has real nice gloves that a lot of guys like to use for sparring cause they're soft and they hold up really well. Last I heard, a pair of Winnings go for around $200-$300. People have a tendency to think that hard gloves are better for sparring but it's the opposite. This is sparring we are talking about here, not actually fighting.

I hear Grant gloves are the best bag glove out there because they're really padded and thick with a lot of wrist support so you won't hurt your hands even after you break them in and soften them up. But since Mayweather uses them, they got the name-brand price tag to go with them. I think they are around $300+, plus the only place you can get them is by emailing them on their facebook. I also have a pair a Cleto-Reyes gloves that I use basically everyday and they have lasted me like 4 years already. I paid about $150 for them if I remember right. ALSO, don't buy velcro if you're getting high-end gloves. Always get lace-up gloves. After awhile the velcro starts wearing out and doesn't hold anymore.

Now do you really NEED $300 gloves? Probably not. A good sturdy pair of Title gloves will probably be just fine. But keep in mind a lot of guys have like 2 or 3 separate pairs of gloves that they use for different things but it's whatever you prefer.

Thanks for the feedback. I am actually looking at importing these gloves to brand and sell. I was just wondering if the configuration matters too much in which order the layers are put into the glove as I can get this changed if necessary. Considering with keeping this but maybe getting an additional layer of thin soft foam between the leather and EVA layer to protect a sparring partner and give a little extra cushion to them but not take too much force feedback away when used on the bag. If you click on the image you can enlarge it and it is a little clearer if you 're having trouble seeing it and obviously don't include the [img] brackets at either side
