    Good exercises without a gym?

Hi everyone, I'm a total noob at boxing (I had 4 sessions in a gym before getting a shin splint or something, and never got back into it) away from home now and there are no pure boxing gyms nearby. My plan is to get in good enough physical condition independently that when I do get back home a few months from now, I can join a boxing gym and already be in good shape.

What kind of conditioning exercises do you guys usually do in your routine, and what would you recommend to a beginner with no boxing gym and no guide for technique? (There is a YMCA very close to me, so there's that)

    My daily routine:

    5 mile jog, 60 (set of 20) push/sit-ups.

    Keep nutrition on point.

Some YMCA's have boxing rooms...give them a call and see.

Pull ups, push ups, handstand push ups, planks, shadowboxing, any kind of rotational movement, bodyweight squats (great suggestion), running, stair climbing, the list goes on.

The thing is not 'what kind I do without a gym,' it's 'how do I put this stuff together and make it effective?' As much as I HATE admitting it, googling, 'crossfit bodyweight WOD,' wouldn't be a terrible idea for someone who is gymless.

If you have two tables/chairs of equal height, you can set yourself in between them and do dips. I started off only being able to do 7-8 reps, and after a week got up to 14-15 reps.

Do you ever go to a clothing store for instance or the fitting room and after having a glance in the mirror throw a combo or two?

                    Yeah, me too.
