I have been boxing for almost 5 years now but only recently my left wrist started to hurt really bad every time I throw my left hook. However the pain in my wrist is much less when I throw the left hook with an horizontal fist, meaning with the thumb down, but i'm not used to that and it feels awkward to throw it that way.
I'm an in-fighter I rely on heavily on hooks and my straight punches simply suck.
Should I stop boxing for a couple months or continue training but not throw any left hooks.
