Expensive shoes, usable as boxing boots?

Recently found out that I have a pair of Ontisuka Tiger shoes that I had weirdly forgotten about. The model I have is the Mexico 66 that I must have used previously to run in. I was wondering if they would be viable to use in the ring or just general training, seeing as they where expensive as **** surly they should have some benefit? If anyone had experience with the shoes or can link some better (cheap) shoes to use that would be great.

That looks like it would work just fine. It doesn't have a thick sole and it's lightweight. I use Chucks myself and they've been great for training.
