I'm going to boarding school in a week.So since I can't train anymore can I become a better boxer by shadow boxing?

Shadow boxing is one of the most important and basic aspects of training, so the answer is yes it will.

It can but most likely it will make it worse if you already have bad habits. With no one to correct you, you will just make it worse.

Pick up a sport like lacrosse.

Then grow up to be Sterling Archer.

          That's better than boxing.

Agreed, it's a great way to check your technique as well as getting a good workout.

Try it with weights, and without weights. Can help your speed as well.

When using a hand weight in shadowing you never lock out your arm. Keep the arm 3/4 extended at most or you will do damage to your wrists, elbows, and shoulders!
1/2 a pound to 1 pound is all you need and shrugs and 1/2 way arm extensions work best!
