Are you more motivated training in an empty or packed gym?

It's gotta be packed and even though I never look at other people I can sense women are nearby and it makes me train that much harder.

I've tried the whole train at 5am so you can use the bench and squat rack without interruption thing but the drive just isn't there.
Some of you may like training in the comfort of your own home.

    What about you fellas?

I hate overcrowded gyms, you can never have a good session and need to wait for the other guy to clear the space or for the weights you're used to working with...
And you barely interact with others, you even struggle to find someone to spar (secure while bench pressing) you more so than if that was just a few people.

Like poster above said. To many people at the gym is bad. If interrupts the flow of the workout.

Empty gym. I like to motivate myself without distractions.

I like an empty gym for my conditioning drills so I can make loud grunting noises during my workout.

Maybe less because I get more attention from the coach
know what you mean by women though, when they are there I feel like training harder

I have to go with less people in the gym. Otherwise I find myself having to wait for a round or two to get on a bag or etc. Sparring for more than 3 or 4 rounds is out of the question in a packed gym.

I prefer to hit the heavy, hit the speed bag, spar and etc without having to wait for a round or two for something to open up.

I like going in, getting 15 or so intense rounds and getting out. Taking no rounds off.

As far as females I would prefer them not there while training. Not to bad while sparring where I can show off but anything else no way. Not only would I be distracted but when I train I am going at a grueling pace and its not pretty. So I would rather just not have them there.

Post workout is where the females come into play.

If the females are working out its ok but it still wouldn't motivate me any more. f they are just there watching im like gtfo.

Beavis - you're in US of A right? is having spectators at the gym a normal thing over there? it's not something i've really heard of in the UK except for maybe when someone does an 'open workout' for PR

i'm going to new york in a couple of months and plan on checking out gleasons, their website mentions a spectator fee. do people really just go into boxing gyms and watch fighters train? i guess most spectators must be involved with boxing in some way??
