malignaggi jab

I've been looking for someone who throws a lot of jabs (effective) and someone made a reference of the man paulie malignaggi which I agree. I've been watching his fights lately and man he throws A LOT of jabs,not just flicker and tapping jabs but actually jabs to land. Usually up jabs and combines that w/ feints also.

Question is what else do you think is the reason for his successful jab through out the years? And do you think this is a must add to your game? ie; increasing jab output

Malignaggi is an under rated fighter imo. He is fast, has good footwork and a good chin. He stays busy and pumps that jab and hes not worried about getting hit because he has a good chin. Good combos as well.

Seems to me like he drops his left hand kind of like a in a philly. This brings his left hand a tad out of his opponents vision and makes it harder to keep track of. He also moves and fients with his left hand a lot.

Also he throws it nice and relaxed. This gives him a nice, quick and snappy jab.

He has boxed since he was probably 10-12 or even younger so experience also plays a part.

All this combined gives him that sneaky jab he has.
