    Tough guy Trainers

I went to Vegas to train a little Jiu Jitsu this weekend at a boxing\MMA gym
and this "boxing trainer" was yelling at a 11 year old kid like he was in the Marine Corps, he was yelling so loud the kid started to tear up.

So i stopped rolling (wrestling with submissions) and asked this so called trainer "Is that your kid? If not why don't you calm down and explain whats wrong instead of yelling"

Then this trainer said to me "why don't you mind your business because you don't know nothing about no MANS sport!"

Now I'm 45years old 6'1 198 pounds and have been the same weight since i was 17 years old, I was a high school and college wrestler and I started boxing when i was 9 and had over 60 am fights.

So i said "you do any sparring because I got my gear in the car" and the guy smiled and said "yes we can do this" so we geared up and I proceeded to channel my inner "Siberian Rocky" and embarrassed this guy in front of god and country.

Anyway I hate these Tough guy trainers who walk around with a bad look on their face and think they are Billy Bad Ass or Terry Tough Nuts.

    How about you?

Sounds like one of those delusional *******s you find around the gym sometimes. Good for you saying something. Thats not what the sport is about or needs.

Good stuff man, some guys just need a reality check because they're so use to nobody calling them out on their BS.

The guy was about 30 years old and I don't know maybe about 6'0 230 pounds but the dude had some arms on him like that Cuban Mike Perez.

When I was gearing up the Jiu Jitsu instructor said "Maybe you want to reconsider because this guy has got hands and he's a ****" so I said "Good I got 2 hands and a **** too so lets see who's is bigger"

Good stuff man, this story warmed my heart a bit.

I honestly hate over the top trainers like that. Considering that it's boxing, I think ALL boxing trainers should have at least some tough guy element to em and they def should be tough on you, but it has to make sense and going all Marine drill sergeant on a little kid to the point where he cries for no reason doesn't make any. How is a kid supposed to able to handle the ring if his confidence is always getting shattered by the trainers?

Some kids do deserve to get screamed at but they need to be explained what they're doing wrong before it gets to that.
