Though youve seen your abs... I havent.

Ive posted my p90x pics here... Ive been relatively close, and Im only about 3lbs away from those pics right now... Im really just trying to get there and I need to cut it out!

Let me ask you a question.

Does carb intake really slow fat loss down even in a caloric deficit?

I mean, if Im eating 1500 calories a day, does it matter if Im consuming carbs withing those 1,500? Or is the total calories in vs calories out really all that matters for fat loss?

If I eat the same 1,500 but decrease my carbs and just up my protein/fats?

Right now I seem to be around 120-140G of protein, 100g of carbs and 50 of fats.
It does. For me carbs are the devil those are what keep my weight up.

Look up the keto diet if you don't already know it. Keto is basically a diet of high fat and high protein, and the body will go in ketosis where it burns fat for fuel. If you are having a tough time shedding weight I would definitely look into dramatically cutting carbs. A lot of people who do the keto diet will keep carbs under 20 g a day.

I have tried keto before but it is tough for me because my diet contains a lot of carbs and I'm not organized enough right now to plan all of my meals ahead. But the 3 weeks I did do it there was very noticeable fat loss.

Read up on it because people swear by it and first hand I have seen people losing a lot of weight by going on strict low carb/high fat/high protein diets.

      Thanks for the info.

I believe my body is carb sensitive as well.. and I remember doing p90x... I allowed myself I one piece of whole wheat toast in the morning, and one half cup of wheat rice for dinner and that was it for carbs.

Now... Im only looking at caloric intake... but Im sure the leaner you get the more it matters.

If youre a 100lbs over weight, it doesnt matter just cut your calories and the weight will come off... but if youre in the last 10lbs til you have abs, it matters more.

Im gonna have to seriously look at that then... another thing I kind of knew, but it's nice to hear it from someone else for assurance.

Now when you say 20g of carbs.. does this include veggies? or mainly starches like potatoes, breads etc...

Veggies are great filler for me... would suck to have to cut those as well.

Yeah when you start getting to sub 15% body fat area losing weight becomes much more meticulous.

And fruit and veggies are definitely encouraged when on a keto diet because they are high in fiber as well. I'm pretty sure the overall carbs someone has on a keto diet is actually net carbs so it would be carbs - dietary fiber= total cabs from the meal. Without fiber you would just have the worst ****s imaginable.

Reed those Fridays and Saturday's are what's killing you, I used to allow myself one day a week where I could eat/drink anything after being really strict for the previous six days, it really does undo alot of the hard work your putting in. Try relaxing for just one day a week instead of two and not goin too mad on junk food, and I'd definitely swerve the alcohol.
Try not to touch a drop for a month and see how you get on.
If you want that six pack you got to be militant brother, 7 days a week.

              Thanks bro.

It's funny, these are things I know, but still need to hear them from others... everyone needs that kick in the ass and that obvious reminder.

Ill be enjoying Saturday night, but Im gonna stay within my 1,500 calories on Friday.

Keto works but it is hard to stick to long term.

I suggest looking into the Slow Carb diet if you want something a little more manageable. You won't be cranky all the time.

Cardio and abs exercises are the best for the weight loss and fitness purposes.
These cardio and abs exercises burn the fat more effectively and control the cholesterol level which lead to healthy heart.
The more effective cardio and abs exercises are push ups, pull ups, sits ups, crunches, jogging, running, swimming, cycling, and jumping a rope.

yep.. that ab roller is truly amazing. i use it myself on a regular basis. even if im doing other ab work and feel like my stomach is strong, if i havent been using the ab roller for a while i will still get really sore abs after using it. whats great is it targets other areas too and not just the abs, it really is the perfect way to finish any upper body routine.
