strenghten up both ur abs n back! do plenty of dorsal raises and sit ups!

also wen extremely hot, so after a session, NEVER do this without propa warm up do a entensive stretch on ur back al da time!

    this wil defo help!

but rest it for a while otherwise problem will worsen!

You got to stay loose when you run. Form is very important.

Maybe it's related to your hamstrings. Always warm up before

Do yoou get it running on hard surfaces?
If you do, try running on a softer surface i.e. grass, track. And check out your shoes. Are they giving plenty of support.

The mob above are right. Make sure you warm up prior to run with lower back, quadriceps and hamstring stretches. Tight hamstrings can make your lower back more lordotic/curved, hence putting more pressure on your lower back.

If you get it with longer distance running, it might be due to fatigue of your core muscles around your lower back. So try some core work too i.e. ab work, lower back extensions.

I won't to to much posting in training anymore but do you train you lower back (i.e. deadlifts, good mornings, back extension)? I had this problems a few years back, found out my hammies and back wasn't as flexible as they should have been, I had great back and lower body strength but not the ammount of flexiblility needed for my large frame not to mention my sport. Hope this helps.

This seems to me to be the problem, the impact when running culminates around the lower spine hence the back trouble, your footwear will definately help, visit a top sports shop next time you buy running shoes, most of the good one's now have a 'running mat' etc which can test your gait and show on a screen how your feet impact onto the ground and tell you what sort of shoes you should be wearing!

i get that tooo i think its from drinkning water before you run...sort of like a cramp....

all you have to do is keep your abs tight aqnd they sort fo go away
